September 1, 201312 yr Are you sure it's the recirculation fans you can hear? I can't imagine them being very loud, is it not the equipment cooling or gasper you're hearing? Anyway I imagine they'd come under the environment slider or whatever it's called? James Bennett
September 1, 201312 yr In real life the recirculation fans (especially RECIRC FAN R in the -800) are quite loud. Not so much during climb or cruise, as they are a little bit drowned out by the other sounds. On the ground however, they can be quite annoying. EDIT: Right.... Ummm.... 747,MD-11,NGX,777,JS41,...?
