Need Help/FSX Problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

The problem that I will be talking about has happened to me ever since I purchased my 737NGX back in 2011, It has also happened to me on 2 high end machines...

I also recently purchased GSX and I LOVE it, however the problem messes up GSX along with the NGX.....which is REALLY annoying.

My problem is that I will be in the middle of a flight, I start looking around the cockpit and I see that the entire Circuit Breaker panel is missing..... (Screenshots included)

When I arrive to my destination, I call the people of GSX to marshal me at the ramp and I notice he isn't there..... I look closely and I can only see his head... Then when the vehicles approach my plane, I notice a select few of them (Aft Stairs, Baggage Trolleys and People) are all missing textures... There are only wheels and the heads of the people that are operating the machines...

The most annoying part of this problem is that it is totally random.... Sometimes it will happen just after Engine Start and sometimes on Final... I have tried using the NGX with/without FTX Global, ENB, REX and AS2012  and I get the same results..

This also happens to some payware airports... It happened today at Flytampa Tampa where the terminal buildings were missing, but the jetways were still there.

I have edited my fsx.cfg, but the edits were minimal and many people use them without trouble....

The changes are:

[bUFFERPOOLS]
Poolsize=0

[GRAPHICS]
HIGHMEMFIX=1

[GRAPHICS]
TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096

[DISPLAY]
WideViewAspect=True

I have also experienced this with some ai traffic where their textures go missing, But i found out that the fix to that was to turn off all shadows...

I have re-installed FSX numerous times and that doesn't help.... This also has happened to me on two different machines..

Lastly I have tried searching up fixes but I come up with nothing :(

Screens:

Fsx 2013 09 02 20 22 30 62

Fsx 2013 09 02 19 46 50 63

Fsx 2013 09 02 19 46 07 28

All help will be appreciated :)

Cheers

Turn off DX10.

I don't have DX10 enabled...

Do you have Ezdok camera? Maybe you should re-install ezdok, NGX or both

Yes I have Ezdok, I have tried it both with and without EZCA and it still happens...

Same with/without the NGX :(

Do you think that it could be a problem with my drivers?

Could it be your viepoint is really too close, cliping the zone of the 3d model?

Try moving it further out and away a tad while just adjusting the zoom to compensate.

Something like this happened to me long time ago, and it was becouse of ezdok. You have run configuration utility?

And yes, try to move eyepoint and to change zoom and see what happens. I don't know about drivers, i think it's posible

No it doesn't seem to be the problem because I uninstalled EZCA, but the problem still happens

That's not viewpoint related, because you can see the text on top of the (disappeared) circuit breaker panel.....

I suspect this is a GPU VRAM dropout.

Can you tell us your system specs? ..... It is possible to 'lose' textures if you are putting too much demand on your Graphics Card.

This is likely to happen where you are using the [buffer Pools] PoolSize=0  (as you are), with a weaker GPU or one with lower than ideal VRAM.

So what are your system specs, especially your graphics card?

Sorry for the late reply :S

My specs are listed in the "My PC" section under my display picture.... But here they are anyways:

i7-3770k @ 4.6-4.7Ghz

EVGA GTX 770 2GB

16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

FSX on 250gb SSD

And regards to the Bufferpools=0 idea, Yes I did put that into my fsx.cfg so it might be that..

Thanks for the response :D

Cheers

And do you use locked FPS and water to High 2X? It's very important to do this with BF=0.

I will look again on your posts about this problem and try to find something later

This might be it....

I generally do have water at High 2X and Locked fps via Nvidia inspector but sometimes I lower it when I fly around Seattle... (FTX Global and FTX PNW make it very laggy sometimes) So I lower the water settings forgetting about the water @ High 2x requirement.... I hope it is that because then I would have an answer :)

Just one more thing, check if your monitor refresh rate is 60Hz(go to nvidia control panel/display/change resolution, you should see there resolution and refresh rate). If refresh rate is 60Hz, set in Nvidia inspector Vsync to 1/2 refresh rate and lock fps to 30 using FSX internal limiter. This should give you incredible smoothnest :) Especially in combination with that settings above. It's worth trying

I gave it a try and it looks really good, Thanks for the help :)

On another note, Along with the PMDG 737NGX, Whenever I would do my flying at night time on the PMDG 777 and turn on some cockpit lights (Not dome) I would always see some pixels that are not receiving light. And sometimes, When I go to wing view, I see small blue/green/orange pixels on the wing on the 777...

On top of that, The displays are sometimes blurry on both planes on the ND and PFD

What do you think could be the problem here?
