flaps22, don't forget to sign your name to your posts. Forum rules.

From the FSX main screen, go to settings>customize>graphics tab and check that advanced animations is checked.

Exit, restart FSX and load the 777 and see if that fixes it.

If you already have this option checked, then i would advise an uninstall and reinstall of the 777 to see if that addresses it. I'm not aware of this issue ocurrung during beta at all.

Uninstalled, and installed again and no improvement. I tried the 737 NXG and also has the same issue, so installing the 777 screwed up something here guys

Did it ask you to run the PDMG 777 module when you started FSX after the install?  If not you may have to uninstall/reinstall.

you installed 2X and never got the message to allow the PMDG777 module permissions in FSX?

What was your fix for the NGX?

Are you full screen?  Did you alt-tab upon startup to check for the modules permission dialogs upon startup?  For me they were always hidden behind the splash screen but the splash screen would not advance until I accepted them.  I am not sure how you can select the AC in FSX without accepting the modules.

ok.

Uninstall 777.

restart.

Run installer AS ADMIN

Run FSX. select free flight with default plane.

Wait for flight to load.

When loaded, then select the 777.

See what happens.  report back.

Also make sure you run FSX as ADMIN.  Right click and select 'Run as Administrator' each time.

Gentlemen,

I did as both have suggested.

Allan when I uninstalled - restart - Install - Load FSX with default plane - Wait - Load 777 worked great! all was there. Then I closed FSX, and re opened and tried the 77 from the get go and again, same issue.

Viper. I did "Run as admin" each time. I always do anyway.

Seems like a real bug here guys.

Anything else I can try?

what happens when you load the 777 from the default flight with a default aircraft first?

Make sure it asks you to allow permission to the 777 module, and select OK to run it every time.

Ok. Found the issue. And along the way 1 more.

Because I use to set up my 737 NGX with a 2-D panel (easier to browse through systems) I had my FSX set for my 2D panel to load by default. So my 777 loads with no screen, then I press "A" to see my panel and there is the panel but missing a whole lot of things (Handles, knobs etc).

I suspected that maybe the airplane loads a little different than the ngx so I went to:

Options>Aircraft and then under "Default cockpit view" unchecked "2-D Instrument panel" and Checked "3-D Virtual Cockpit"

now what this does is load the 3-D panel from the start, that is why worked once I loaded default aircraft first because all graphics were already loaded and rendered. this can be fixed by modifying the priority of how the 777 loads things. I believe that the real reason this happened to me is because I was switching between 2-D (not available on 777 so full screen vie of runway) and 3-D while the plane was not ready to render those graphics yet.

On a separate note, the installer does not remove the airplane completely, I re installed this plane 3 times and was never again asked for my password or to approve any modules.

Makes sense?

Yeah.  You have to manually delete stuff to get a clean install.  Glad you got it sorted.  BTW, please sign your posts.

Well it happened again. Sometimes if I am lucky and I go from window to full view it gets fixed, some other times it just crashes the graphics.
