Major Graphics issues
Hello Guys! I recently wiped out my PC and did a fresh Windows 10 install. So far it has been great with FSX and all add ons I use BUT: It is now when I actually fly my 777 for more than 15 minutes for testing, so about 4 hours in to my first flight, while on cruse I noticed that the textures for the engine when I went in to the wing view were just not there, the engine was but the paint was not I was only able to see the pylon not painted, then it turned black, then my FPS went really low (2-3 FPS average) then on the cockpit all my knobs dissapeared and parts of the panel went black. Now please note this all happened gradually. Las time I had something similar I was missing the HighMem fix on my CFG file but I check and it was there I did not run FSX as an admin (as I never do) so I rebooted my PC and ran FSX as admin and I am currently testing, just took off and put the AP on cruise to see if I can replicate this, but wanted to reach out and see if someone had experienced this before and maybe help? Thanks in advance! Danny. System: AMD 9590 16gb RAM Windows 10 GTX750i FSX Add Ons: FS2crew PMDG777 EZdok Trackir Cielos ATC ASN Rex 4.0

Performance issues with SP!b
Hello folks! Long time no see! my T7 was working perfect, bought the expansion T7-300 and worked perfect. Today however saw the SP1b and installed, now every time I move the mouse to turn the SeatBelts signs of or start an engine or interact with the 77 my screen freezes momentarily, then everything starts working away when I stop the pointer (mouse), then I move the pointer again and all stops, then I keep the mouse steady and all works again. What is happening here? Anyway to revert to a previous version? Not liking this update so far.

Saitek X55
guys, I bought the new Saitek X55, I must say it is the best pice of hardware I have ever used for FSX, It add even more realism let me put it this way. Any other pilots using this rig? I am having a hard time configuring it, the normal FX commands won't do anything on the 777, seems like the 777 has its own key commands. Let me know if anyone else is trying to set this correctly. Danny.

When is the SDK out? Or is it?
Not as far as I know. Waiting for FS2Crew here (which is also waiting for the SDK)

Can still hear APU noise when APU is switched off
Once you shut down the APU you will still hear it for a minute or 2 while it winds down and cools off. Now if you shut it down and the "APU COOLDOWN" message on EICAS extinguishes and you still hear the APU then you do have a problem.

Engine Sounds - Not accurate
Although I have never flown the T7 I have quite some hours on other planes and even though they sound different they keep the same sonic characteristics. The sounds are very accurate,(at least on the NGX are identical) what is not are the levels (Which PMDG has no say on this). You do not hear the engines at altitude from the cockpit like you hear them here on the OMDG version, same for the window views. In real life What you get is a slight vibration sound like from the windows towards the mid to front and the blast sound from the back seats, as the plane gains altitude and speed these engine sounds begging to fade and all is left is the air (annoying shshshshshshs sound) at cruising altitude and speed. PMDG even accurately replicated these, for example after takeoff you do not hear the same noise levels that you do at altitude, the problem I saw (again) are levels. go to your sounds settings and move the ENGINES sound to about 15 to 20 and you will be closing your eyes and there will be no difference between the real T7 and this one. Believe me!

Choosing the right approach speeds
There a couple of tricks you can try: 1 - Keep 250 until 20 miles out assuming you are at least 4000ft AGL(not MSL) when you hit the 20nm point select speed to Approach Speed and start configuring as speed decrases. by the time you select flaps 25 (or 30) you will be pretty much on speed and a few miles out (enough to disconnect the AP and fly the airplane manually) 2- Do the same but 15nm out and instead of following standard procedure do flaps 1 then gear down and then flaps as speed decreases, this will put you fully stablished at leas by 500 ftAGL which is standard still in visual conditions. Not airline standards but a nice way of configuring last minute and still land fully configured, on speed and on glideslope Now, again, you need to be about 4000 AGL around the 15 to 20 NM radios, if you are higher you will be descending making it more difficult to reach stabilization on time. Also, use your speed brake if needed, wind direction and speed plays a big role so adapt your procedures to the conditions. Another trick I used when I flew the EMB145 (and works with the 777 and any other aircraft) if you are descending at full speed and need to reach 250 knots by 10Kft, pull the power to idle as soon as you reach 11k and set 600fpm on the Vertical Speed selector. When the plane reaches 10K you will be right at 250! Hope this helps! Dnny.

Help me spend $300 for my new T7
Alright guys. So I completed my upgrade las night and though I'd update you on what the outcome was for those looking in to upgrading and also for those who helped me out First of all thanks to all of you who posted your ideas and advise,, thanks to you now I have a pretty good system and i am enjoying my T7 way better! Although I looked and looked at Intel I simply did not have the money to afford the system I thought could take me where I wanted to be, I am convinced is the best CPU for fSX but they are expensive and I just could not make it happen this time, also, i use this PC for 2 main projects, FSX and music Production, so I do see an advantage on having multicores for music production and stuff. Bottom line: I went from this: ADM Phenom II x6 3.2 GTX 260 to this: AMD FX8350 x8 4.3 (turbo on) GTX 650 TI And this is what I was able to accomplish: -My Autogen is now on Dense (Lower before upgrade) -My AI Traffic is now %50 (10% before upgrade) -Airport vehicles is now at %25 (%5 before upgrade) -Scenery is maxed out (a notch lower before upgrade) -Added aircraft shadow (was off before upgrade) FPS wise I now get (using REX and PMDG 777) 30fps constant at regular and most areas and 22 to 25FPS on my worse case scenario (JFK, ORD, etc) versus 20fps I was getting before with much worse quality selected on sliders. Now If I were to keep my sliders and setting the way they were before the upgrade with this system I would get 30FPS steady, but because I had room to improve my visuals and move sliders to the right I did gain still good FPS plus quality as my sliders are really close to being Maxed out. If I was to fly a stock aircraft I could literally max everything and still get the 30fps even with REX installed and at full resolution. haven't tried but we know PMDG toys are heavy on CPU. So in all honesty it is a huge improvement and recommended for those like me who can't afford a high end into solution. Thanks again for chiming in and help me upgrade! Danny P.S: I budgeted $300 and I ended up spending $500 (CPU, MOBO and GPU) sshhhhh don't tell the wife

Significant Drop in FPS - - - HELP!
Hello RCITGuy, Thank you much for the detailed and excellent explanation. I did suspect that perhaps this whole thing was a product of my processor trying to feed my 2 screens but I aways hope to hear the miracle fix that would make it work without spending money! Ayway, I will be upgrading soon and I will include a new and bigger monitor in to my budget, I feel like if I get me a bigger screen maybe I will not need a second screen at all.. Thanks again. Danny

Significant Drop in FPS - - - HELP!
Thanks for chiming in PigsInSpace. Actually no changes in quality at all, now i did some more experiments. If I keep both monitors plugged but go in to windows remove one monitor, FPS stay high, if I go again and select "Clone this display" (whereas the both screen will display the same) FPS stay high. Now... If I select "Extend this screen" then I see FPS drop by half!!!! Wierd! I am upgrading my MOBO and Processor this weekend as I budgeted for it, but I do not think it has to do with that.

Significant Drop in FPS - - - HELP!
Guys, I am about to pull the Little bit of hair I have left. Here is the story: I play my FSX using 2 monitors (same screen resolution than they are in windows 1600x900x32) my average FPS in highly populated areas using the PMDG aircraft is about 13fps. A couple of days back I found out that if I go on Windowed mode my FPS double!!!!, trying to understand why I went ahead and unplugged my Second monitor. When I do this my FPS double again regardless of windowed or full screen mode.... Why when I go in to full screen mode (even if I am not using the second screen my FPS drop in half????? Any advice?????

777F Liveries Not Showing in FSX
Did you check up up down the aircraft page? Maybe since you have so many aircraft this one was organized by the FSX somewhere not directly next to the 200LXR?

Redux lights
+1 On the real T7 the lights are attached to the fix part of the nose wheel, e 737 actually has the lights attached to the turning gear so they point where the wheel point

AA New colors?
Guys - I saw a video on youtube of a PMDG T7 new AA livery, the guy had a download link but OPS Center will not see it and I search online and could not find that livery. I moved the Texture folder to the right place in SIM OBJECTS but will not appear in the Aircraft selection page. Any word where a new AA NEW COLORS textures compatible can be found?
