September 4, 201312 yr Hello everybody, I've got a issue while using the stabalizer trim. I don't now if anyone else has already reported this. While setting the take off trim I can only use the switch on my yoke to move the trim down, but not to move it up. I had to use the ALT PITCH TRIM to do that. Strange thing is that the trim switch on the VC yoke is moving while I try to trim up, it's just the number on the display that stays the same. I tried to record it in a video, but I'm not sure that it is really clear enough. Does anybody maybe have a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance. Bastiaan
September 4, 201312 yr Bastiaan, I don't recall encountering this. Are you able to replicate the issue or was it a one-off? Mark Adeane - NZWN
September 4, 201312 yr Author I'm able to replicate it. Just tried it again, and the trim was nog working, while the switch on the yoke in the VC was moving. I don't use FSUIPC for controls, but I don't think my yoke is the problem. Otherwise the VC switch would not be moving either. EDIT: While I wrote elevator trim, the problem concerns the Stabalizer Trim. Bastiaan
September 4, 201312 yr I am having the same issue. First "test" flight the aircraft wouldn't trim. Pressing the trim buttons on my joy stick (logitech Extreme 3D Pro) didn't trim the aircraft but did move the trim buttons on the control column, also the trim indicator didn't change at all. After a reset it appeared I could trim but still the indicator doesn't move; unless I use the ALT trim. Cheers,RyanProfessional Coffee Drinker/BAe146 DriverAircraft Maintenance Engineer
September 4, 201312 yr Author I think I have the solution to this problem. It seems that while my yoke is centered, the FLT CTR page shows that my elevators are not completely centered. You can only trim in the direction the elevator is pointing, so if you are not able to trim, you have to push/pull on your yoke, to center the elevators. When you do that, you can trim in both directions. Bastiaan
