Hey I got a little issue, my adf is not shown in the fmc :P

ADF is rapidly being phased out, especially with the types of routes and airports a 777 typically uses.

Freighter doesn't have ADF. Look at the EFIS control panel, there's INOP stickers on ADF's.

I know NDBs are being phased out, at least in the west, and that pilots these days aren't being taught to fly NDB approaches.  However I think In many 3rd world countries you will still find plenty of NDBs around.   It wouldn't be inconceivable that the 777LRF could be involved in humanitarian or disaster relief to these areas, thus requiring some NDB navigation and approach abilities.

 

Perhaps the ADF could be included as an OPTION for the LRF.  Maybe current real world operators haven't ordered LRFs with ADF capability, but potential LRF operators might, especially if their operations might take them to places where NDB navigation still exists.
