September 6, 201312 yr Dear All, did any of you experience, that when disengaging the A/P it is not possible to mute the masterwarning beep sound? I can push the red blinking master warning button, but only the red alert disappears, the beep does not stop. Ít is very annoying, that I need to hear the very noisy beep-beep during the whole approach. thank you in advance for your help. September 6, 201312 yr Commercial Member did any of you experience, that when disengaging the A/P it is not possible to mute the masterwarning beep sound? Yes, about half the forum seems to have experienced this, and couldn't find the solution until coming here. Why? Because they didn't read the intro manual that explains why this happens. Please read it. It has tons of great information - tips, tricks, quirks and so on. I can push the red blinking master warning button, but only the red alert disappears, the beep does not stop. While the intro manual also describes how to get this to stop, it also shows you how to change the airline option from this option to a "reset-able siren" as well. Kyle Rodgers
September 7, 201312 yr Ya know, based on what I've been reading here (not necessarily this post, but others) it occurs to me that a whole lot of people have been disconnecting the autopilot in the 737 with the disconnect bar and thinking that is normal. If anyone reads this, it isn't! Steve Caffey
September 7, 201312 yr Hello Further to the replies above, I have read the manual and changed my siren to resettable but today I the siren went off, mid-Atlantic and I saw a message appear on the EICAS saying Pilot Response. I hit the Master Warning button twice but nothing happened. I could not cancel that siren. The manual says (Extinguish by pushing Master WARNING/CAUTION reset switch) which I did, lots of times. With regards to the Pilot Response message, I couldn't figure out anything that I needed to do. All conditions & systems were normal and no warning lights were on. Any ideas? September 7, 201312 yr EDIT: Switched off Crew Alertness and now using the PMDG Auto Cruise feature. This may be the solution I was looking for. Andrew Ruislip Je Suis Charlie
