September 7, 201312 yr Hi! I can't get below 240 kt dueing apprach. I have selected 210kt on the knob to the autothrottle but it wouldn't slow down. so how do I get below 240 knots during approach? please help
September 7, 201312 yr I usually hit the slash (/) key and employ the speed brake. You can also begin employing flaps. If you are at 240, then you should be able to move your flaps to 5 and 15 at 230. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! If you are just coming in too fast too late, it will be tricky to decelerate. T7 is slippery, and heavy, loads of inertia. If you time the approach properly, flap deployment and gear down with create more than enough drag without speed brakes.

September 8, 201312 yr You shouldn't be flying around at 250kts at 5000 feet. Try keeping your plane below 200kts before you even start intercepting the localizer vatsim s3
