September 7, 201312 yr I apologize if there is a tread about it but a quick search didn't help me.I have a CH fighterstick and a pro throttle and I would like to have them perfectly calibrated. Unfortunately the original windows software is quite crappy and doesn't really help me calibrating in dead zones and so on. I would like to use FSUIPC but the problem is that PMDG doesn't want to use FSUIPC calibration, is there an alternate program or software to calibrate joysticks?Regards,Manfred Manfred G. Ships are cooler that you think.
September 13, 201312 yr By "original windows software" are you referring to CH Products Control Manager (Version 4.55a)? I hope not, because I find this program perfect for calibrating my CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Throttle Quad, and Eclipse Yoke. It also allows you to adjust null zones on all of the axes. Furthermore, if you want to program the buttons and axes to do a multitude of commands, you can through Control Manager (but I don't use this capability much in FSX). For FSX, I'm using FSUIPC to assign buttons and axes, but I still calibrate those first using Control Manager. I then open FSUIPC and assign axes, buttons, etc. For the PMDG 777, the only thing I've done differently is to open FSUIPC and turn its calibration OFF for the two throttle axes....that's it. The throttles are assigned through FSUIPC but not calibrated through FSUIPC. All is working fine so far. CH Control Manager is the best program to calibrate your Fighterstick and Pro Throttle, and you can download it here: http://www.chproducts.com/13-29170-Downloads-and-Community.php Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
