September 11, 201312 yr ...we could try converting the engine samples to true mono samples, as i wrote in the linked thread above, normaly a 3D sound enviroment need pure mono samples. but iam not shure if PMDG had maybe a special other reason doing the samples in stereo, maybe it have something to do with the plane`s special engine architecture, which is only working as intended outside of the FSX engine. while using such a architecture the sound position information in the 3D sound enviroment is maybe lost, and they had to use those 1channel muted stereo samples, beeing able to have at least a left and right position. ...as my rear sound system is offline atm i cant test that right now, but iam pretty shure someone could. ...another workarround could be a 4 channel stereo mixer, which simply mirror the front channels to the rear, but that is of course no 3D sound then.
