Phoenix1 thanks for your input on this issue. In defense of Ken I completely understand how things may have gotten to this point. So many of your customers were so ticked that you gave your older packages little if any attention (as far as upgrading goes) that that was the main topic of anything PSS. PSS has become synonymous with 'Airbus' and 'A320'. When you made the choice to drop those packages it wasn't good. Everytime PSS was mentioned or a thread started about your group, it wasn't good... I actually don't blame Ken for getting to a point of redirecting the post to your forum for you guys to handle. Turns out your way of handling it was not to respond or do away with the post as if the issue was never a problem. For those new to all this never realized there was even an issue. Kind of like how the Republicans did the protesters at the convention last summer in New York. The largest protest rally in the history of the United States received no media coverage. It's like it never happened...What strikes me as odd is if you know people love this product so much why aren't you embracing it??? You have no competition to speak of so you own the whole customer base. Why resort to building other aircraft that puts you in direct competition with others when there's a big whole that needs to be filled and you guys have first dibbs... What other professional Airbuses are out there besides your work. All Airbuses have the same cockpit so all you would have to do is refine your Fly-By-Wire simulation (FDE). I can't understand you guy

I am sorry Dillon but the thread has not been removed from the PSS forum and there is a very honest answer from PSS.

Ian, the A320 has no clickable VC... The A330 which basically has the same VC does, what kind of since does that make???You have no idea how long I've fought on the PSS forums to get support on the A320. Many have posted about issues the A330 still has (cockpit lighting for one, dome light doesn't come on and a big whole in the cockpit closet that we again were told would be fixed) that still hasn't been addressed... I wish I had the thread back when FS2k4 came out where PSS said they would fully update their products to FS2k4 standard including a clickable VC and as time went by that never happened. The Dash8 was only release a few months before FS2k4 and that still didn't get the attention it deserved, same goes for the Vulcan.Just because an aircraft can fly in FS2k4 and has had minor panel updates doesn't mean it's been fully upgraded to FS2k4. I have many FS2k2 aircraft that fly in FS2k4. I have personally tweaked the FDE's to perform in FS2k4 as well. An FS2k4 update is bringing the features of the new sim into your add-on... What FS2k4 features does any of those supposed updated aircraft have??? You name me one. :-boom PSS older aircraft just fly in FS2k4 like any other FS2k2 aircraft does, that's not an FS2k4 upgrade...

I agree that a couple of the posts were moved prematurely which Tom, I believe, has already acknowledged. As far as compatibility with future FS versions, I NEVER buy an add-on with the expectation of compatiblity with a future version (and I buy darn near all of them). Too many variables that could change and not make it possible from a technical, as well as an economic reason. When there is an update, I genuinely consider it a bonus. I believe all of the Developers that have been mentioned do a very good job of updating, often with very little, if any immediate economic pay-back. I, for one, thank the developers for continuing to push the envelope of FS and make my experiences even better.

Russell you don't have the facts straight....PSS said they would fully update there older work to FS2k4 standards, that included features new to FS2k4. I'm looking for the post to back my statement up here...I ask again, you name me one FS2k4 feature in the A320 package that's new to FS2k4. I've got a whole lot of FS2k2 birds flying in FS2k4, I wouldn't call them an upgrade (maybe I updated the FDE)...

That's great but if a developer tells you their going to fully upgrade their package, I don't think it's abnormal to believe them... I would pay PSS to fully upgrade their A320 versus say a 747 which PMDG is already producing...I guess if you guys are fine with the A320 update that PSS has given then cool. I never got it to work right in FS2k4 on my end...

I never got my A320 higher then 1000ft in FS2004, everytime when I engage the autopilot, it dives into the ground... Went through a lot of posting and never found an answer that solved my problem. And the end of the day the result is that I disregard the A320 and replaced them with the PMDG 737...After asking on their forum, I've got "some kind" of engagement to update the Concorde to FS2006...(but not waterproof).

I would like to ask you, at this point, for a list of every FS2002 add-on you have bought that now has had a fully clickable VC installed as a free update from the manufacturer.Edited to add: I don't recall any such promise from PSS at the time. They did say that they would make the aircraft work in FS2004 - which they do for the vast majority of users. That does not say "we will give you an entire new product for free".Ian P.

How can anyone promise anything when no-one knows what will or won't work with FS10 yet? To give a guarantee at this point, on anyone's behalf, would be exceedingly rash if not downright stupid.Ian P.

O.K. here goes:1. Everything Dreamfleet2. Everything Flight13. Ready for Pushback4. Everything Eaglesoft5. Everything FSD6. RealAir7. Simflyers8. CaptainSim9. Flight Deck Companion10. SSW11. Yes even Perfect Flight has clickable VC's for older FS2k2 models (717)12. Sim-Wings13. Aerosoft Europe Sceneries and other productsI could go on and on... I actually can't think of anything that has had as little attention as the PSS products have. You don't want me to go freeware, that would take too long anyway...Ian, adding a clickable VC and some rain drops on the windows does not count for a whole new product line... Speaking of Freeware, even Posky made the autopilot panel clickable in their 757 VC... C'mon now....

I have to agree with Ian P etc. I have flown the A320 since it first came out and appreciate the efforts PSS have put in with the original Airbus and their subsequent products. With the

I feel the same way about the many developers we have in this community... I just don't think it's asking too much to get support on a product I purchased. That can be an issue with PSS sometimes... I haven't got that from Altitude as of yet...

Problem is Johns, some of them do... When have I ever stated PSS should do this for free (even though everyone else has done it for free)???

Captain Sim B727 has a partially clickable VC. Certainly the overhead and FE's panel are not in any way.Interestingly, I have also just looked at a couple of *totally unpatched* FS2004 aircraft I have installed into FS2004 and they both have clickable VCs too. Does anyone know why that is?I suspect it is because when the gauges from the 2d panel are used in the 3d panel, they just work as they do in 2d. If that is the case, that explains the number of "upgrades" - nothing had to be done to them. It's a rather different matter when you have to recode every single gauge in the VC and redo the visual model in a different version of the compiler.I seem to remember from a conversation with one very well known developer (who also doesn't have a clickable VC in a commercial FS2004 model because of this) that if the model is designed in Imperial measurements, the new compiler doesn't work with it. The model must be designed in metric - so if your model was designed in feet and inches, you have to redo that from scratch as well!Ian P.
