September 15, 201312 yr I cant see any highlights in RED.The only diffirence is 2 slashes in front of some lines. Are these the differences? Complicated world we live in. I cannot believe how complicated the world and computers are. In any case, yes, any commented (//) lines are the changes plus I wrote some comments throughout it too. Those comments were in red too but I think you can see them okay in black too. Plus, I thought I had mentioned it to you but see I didn't in any of the posts above but you need to check out the configuration guide at the following link - http://www.simforums.com/forums/drivers-nv-inspector-fsxcfg-complete-guide_topic36586.html especially the info on BufferPools. You should be particularly interested in Nick's comments about scenery spikes in the section: Black flashes or scenery spikes when a flight FIRST LOADS: Hope this helps. September 16, 201312 yr Author Ok then I commented(//) these lines as you insist me.I tried to tweak my fsx.cfg according to avsim hardware and software guide! I dont know if i did it right. Now if any problems come up i will inform you!
September 16, 201312 yr I tried to tweak my fsx.cfg according to avsim hardware and software guide! Tweaks do not work for every system. The AVSIM Hardware and Software Guide is just a guide. I sent you the link to NickN's guide as he has a very good explanation of the BufferPools issue and some suggestions for the best settings if you use this tweak. What we are trying to do in your case is to see if any of the tweaks are causing your problems. You had one line in your fsx.cfg that was misspelled. You cannot just throw in a bunch of tweaks and wa la! your fsx runs perfectly. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 16, 201312 yr Author I made the changes from your fsx.cfg insist and there was not a crash and not spikes and black flashes, but there is sometimes freezings and laggings for 1-2 seconds and then ok! What is that? Is that a tweak problem?
September 16, 201312 yr Not sure what is causing that. The Bufferpool tweak can do that if not set properly but that should be commented out of your fsx.cfg and not loading. I had intermittent freezes/stuttering for 1-2 seconds but I fixed it by enabling a Page file for each of my HDD's. Originally I just had one on the main C: drive where FSX resided. But, I had a lot of photoscenery and that was located on a couple of other drives. I placed a page file there, set the Virtual Memory (Page file) setting to System Managed Size and the freezes/stuttering went away. Amazing how little things like that can affect FSX. All drives are enabled by default but, for some odd reason, I disabled a page file for all drives except the main drive. You can check your settings by click on the Start button and, in the Search box, type virtual memory and then look up in the menu and you'll see something like How to Change Virtual Memory settings. September 16, 201312 yr That's what I'm saying. Some of these tweaks do not work for everyone. You start tweaking and adding new addons and things start going downhill fast if you are not careful or really computer literate. September 17, 201312 yr Can you explain me how [bUFFERPOOLS] are used by FSX? What is the utility? That's why I had sent you to Nick's guide in Post 17 above. He has a very good explanation and what's good and what's not good. Look down to his section called Tuning BufferPools. For a more in-depth analysis from Steve (the guy who fixed DX10), here's a link to his FSX in-depth analysis - http://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/category/bufferpools/. Bufferpools work differently for almost every system depending on what's enabled and what's not enabled and other variables. Use it cautiously....
