I was just thinking.  Some of my payware add ons have road traffic around the airport.

Would be nice if one of the third party companies make a global road traffic program.  Is it possible to have something like this in FS9?

 

Also, anybody know if there is an add on to add global boats and cruise ships?  I was flying around Miami the other day (Miami 2012 add on) and there were no boats present.

There are a number of ship addons, also oil platforms.

 

Just search for ai ships or ai ship traffic or ship traffic or just ships in the usual sites in the FS2004 categories.

 

Unfortunately I don't believe there is a global pack but I found some stuff for the Atlantic and North Sea, also SE Asia.

 

There is also an FS ship site which has AI ships and some packages: http://www.fs-shipyards.com/

 

Sadly they are all hard to find, I just tried and could only find a few ...

Oh, I forgot, FS2002 traffic will usually show in FS9 as well.

 

www.fs-shipyards.com is a good starting point.

There are some really great pilotable ships around too, search for "pilotable" and you will get lots!

Don't know which quality your road traffic should have. I have "running lights" at night and static cars at day since I use this:

"Апдейт для дефолтных дорог FS9. Добавляет автомобили и ночное освещение"

 

(in English: "Update for FS9 default roads. Adds cars and night lighting")

 

Not very sophisticated, but funny anyway.

I'm beginning to think fsx type road traffic is not available for FS9.
