September 14, 201312 yr I am new to flight simulation and have just purchased and installed my first FSX add on aircraft, the Carenado C182 Skylane RG. When loaded in FSX the gauges are black and there is no radio stack. I have checked the Airplane folder and all the C182 folders and files seem to be present (Model, Panel, Sound and Texture plus Aircraft.cfg and pdfs etc. FSX is loaded on my F: drive F:\microsoft games\Microsoft flight simulator X\simobjects\airplanes\carenado C182 RG Any ideas please.
September 14, 201312 yr I would suggest uninstall/reinstal first. If that fails, submit a formal ticket to Carenado through their support website. It's on the main website - you have to log in to submit a ticket. Mark
September 24, 201312 yr The gauges are typically found in FSX\Gauges Have a look what is there... sort by date and you should find them, if they are there.. The panel.cfg file (in the panel folder) will show the gauge names. Bert
September 24, 201312 yr Commercial Member Also did you "allow" them when the aircraft was loaded the first time? You have to click "yes" twice for each gauge, once to run and once to "trust". If you didn't trust them the first time (you clicked No instead of Yes) then you won't be prompted again the next time you try to load the aircraft, the gauges will simply be ignored. If you've done that you're screwed, there's no known way to make them ever load again so you just wasted your money!! (Just kidding, you'll need to open your FSX.cfg in Notepad and remove the untrusted lines from the [Trusted] section and then next time you load the aircraft you'll be prompted again)
