how I stopped OOM on my system ( for now anyway)

Dear all,

I fly the NGX on short legs around Europe on vatsim, One of these legs from EDDL to EGLL using the LAM3A approach which takes you over central London, when I brought the 777 I used this short route to familiarise myself with the aircraft but I always got am OOM just as I got established on the LOC, I tried changing my FSX setting and the CFG file plus removing nearby airport from the scenery library but this didn't help.

I searched the web some more and found a link on Word Not Allowed's website to a  Microsoft "FixIt" app, it simple to use just follow the link on Word Not Allowed's website to the Microsoft "FixIt" page down load the "FixIt" app and run it and reboot, after this I was able to go back to my original setup and didn't get any OOM on this route.

I am not saying this will help everyone but some may benefit from this.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for this post - worth of trying.

I also found out myself, no matter where i fly with the T7 (addon airport) i end up OOM. This happened to me when flying to EFHK and OMDB. Exactly at the same point as you said, when on the finals.

I found work around by saving the flight at top of decent or like 40 nm before destination and so on. Once i load up the flight it does not OOM anymore.

This bird is amazing, the best addon ever i would say, at the same time im bit disappointed because of these performance issues. I run the NGX without any problem and now im faced with these... I know, this is only my system, which is one from thousands of different configuration.

Anyway, all tips are welcome, dont want to point fingers too much, but these issues takes some of the enjoyment out of this...

Cheers
