No Autoland?

Was on Approach yesterday flying for my VA as usual descending on the ILS - LOC/GS alive, then a msg apperars "No Autoland" but yet still descending on the profile ?? is that just Flare rollout mode will not engage???, doesnt really affect me as I prefer to manually land, just wondering as to why this was.???

FCOM says Autoland works with Flaps 20 selected. I've found you need to be configured for landing at about 5 miles DME on the ILS for Autoland to become active

It is related to radio altitude - at 1500 ft RA if it detects the aircraft is not configured and within certain limits on the ILS, it will NOT autoland, hence the NO AUTOLAND message. Autoland mode is locked out at that point.

Yes, the plane will still follow the glideslope, but you will need to manually flare the airplane and retard thrust.
