September 18, 201312 yr Hello everyone! Having searched the forums and the manuals, I have been unable to find any information specific to the operation of autobrake during a RTO and more specifically, what conditions need to occure or be present for max braking to be triggered,l with RTO selected. The reason I ask is because during several RTOs under different circumstances, mine is yet to initiate! My basic understanding is that during a normal TO, fully closing the throttle levers is enough for the aircraft's systems to initiate max autobraking if RTO is preselected. Does anything else need to happen in addition? If there is an answer to this in the manuals I'd be really grateful to know where... There is no indexing for FCOM pdfs on my ipad, so searching is difficult! Thanks and best wishes, Luke
September 18, 201312 yr Look into FCOMs... pretty sure it's there. And PMDG didn't source them from Boeing just to occupy diskspace --Peter Fabian
September 18, 201312 yr I *believe*: 1) Speed at or above 80 and under V1. 2) Throttles to retard. Now, about #2, make sure your hardware throttles actually move the throttle levers if you're using A/T on takeoff. Marko Milivojević
September 19, 201312 yr FCOM V2 14.20.5 which is page 1189 in the supplied PDF. But basically is groundspeed above 85 kts, and thrust levers at idle. Brian W Brian W KPAE
September 19, 201312 yr Author FCOM V2 14.20.5 which is page 1189 in the supplied PDF. But basically is groundspeed above 85 kts, and thrust levers at idle. Brian W Thanks Brian - I'm most grateful. That's the bit I couldn't find. :-) I think I may then have a small throttle calibration issue which is preventing my autobrake from initiating. Best wishes, Luke
