September 19, 201312 yr I am considering a purchase of the PFC throttles. Not a small investment so I want to check in to see if they work well with the 737 and T7. Do they use their own drivers? Can I use FSUIPC? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad Brad Rich
September 19, 201312 yr I have the PFC throttle quadrant...It is awesome. They are USB and do not have their own driver. Yes you can use FSUIPC and I recommend doing so. It's really nice to have 2 (or 3 or 4) throttle levers. They are very smooth and tiny adjusments are easy to make. I bought the twin engine piston throttles (they are interchangable) with the toga button on the lever. Toga button is not really necessary because there is a toga button on the console but more realistic. Also nice to have gear and flap levers too. If you really want to change your FSX experience get the yoke too if you don't already have it. Both the yoke and the throttles will totally transform your PMDG experience. Steve Giblin
September 19, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the note. I feel comfortable now with the purchase as I am very tired of the noisy CH pots. Thanks again, Brad Brad Rich

September 23, 201312 yr For ALL PFC users- READ THE FOLLOWING- it allowed me to solve all my throttle issues once and for all- ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR LEGACY/SERIAL PFC USERS- http://forum.simflight.com/topic/75193-pmdg-777-a2as-c172-and-fsuipc-492/ Carl, I've been following that thread closely since I have a PFC throttle (serial) with the 737NG quadrant. I don't see anything specifically referencing a PFC serial throttle anywhere in that thread. As you know, we have to use PFCDLL as well as FSUIPC, so I've been having problems with figuring out which program to fiddle with. Closest I got is having to disarm AT while taxiing, re-arming once lined up for TO and then engaging TOGA. after that I just leave the throttles at idle and it works perfectly, and everything else on the quadrant works as well (speed brake, flaps, reversers). So, have you been able to configure both PFCDLL and/or FSUIPC to get past the throttle issue? September 23, 201312 yr Jay- Remember to edit your FSUIPC.ini first to remove Throttle axis' first. DESELECT all Throttle Quadrant axis in PFCFSX.dll. Then go through the procedure Pete described out and it will all work- no issues. You will NOT have to exercise your AT switches any more. Also- in the NGX you will even get your cyan arcs that have been missing for so long. In the 777 however, no cyan arcs, but it all works as advertised..... you can then taxi, advance, press TOGA- wait for 1-2 secs for THR REF/N1 and firewall throttles. As soon as HOLD annunciates RTO AB works perfectly as well. Let me know how you get on..... there's still a few of us PFC serial folks Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
September 23, 201312 yr Carl, Gonna give it a shot later on, after work. I'll report back, hopefully with good news! Wish me luck...
