Anyone know where I can find a decent pilot able blimp either freeware or payware. My three year old step son can't hang on to my planes yet, so I thought maybe hooking him up with something more tame like a blimp.

There's a R34 airship on this page (about the 7th item down) at Simviation. No idea if it's any good but at least it's a 'steerable balloon'!

I'm sure that over the years I've seen more airships in the various download libraries here at AvSim and also at FlightSim and Simviation - if the R34 doesn't do the job, it could be worthwhile trawling through these libraries for airship, blimp, zeppelin - or any other term that could be used to describe them.

 

Anyway, with luck the R34 will be just what you need.

Although your son may enjoy boats for FSX. Those are fun to play around with, and pretty straight forward.

Thanks btwilks I'm going to follow up on that. Nathan , He told me he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up, so I got to stick with things that fly, but the boats sound interesting to me ,lol, thanks

Wow! He caught the bug early My nephew loves the helos and has gotten very good at flying them. At first he was all over the place but now he's good. As long as your son is having fun with dad it's all that really matters.
