September 29, 201312 yr Hi All, I am having this problem---what am I doing wrong---I am trying to fly a long flight OMDB to KDFW---I build a plan in PFPX and the get it imported into the T7 no problem but when I get to per init page and try to punch in the Gross weight of about 717.xxx I get an unable message---I chose the weight from the CDU as Long range amount--and copied the fuel GW from the FSX fuel/payload amount shown from the fsx menu
September 29, 201312 yr Entering gross weight is a company option, perhaps that option isn't activated on that livery Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
September 29, 201312 yr You don't have to enter GW. Try entering ZFW and let it calculate GW for you. Jordan Forrest
September 29, 201312 yr Author I will give this all a try--thanks for the quick response---I was also having some issues getting the V Speeds entered correctly---I do not know what The SEL entry is for/about--does that help the CDU calculate the V Speeds?
September 29, 201312 yr Have a quick browse through the tutorial flight, you will find your answer in there Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
September 29, 201312 yr SEL is for entering an assumed temperature. It does the same thing as the TEMPERATURE prompt on the TAKEOFF REF page. Dashes indicate it's an optional entry. If you're not getting vspeeds generated, check you've got weights entered, as well as a runway selected on the DEP page. Jordan Forrest
September 29, 201312 yr You can enter GW or ZFW. If it has boxes you can enter it. But I think your format (xxx.xxx) is wrong. Try xxx.x instead.
September 29, 201312 yr Author Thanks for all the great replies ---this will help me sort things out for sure
September 30, 201312 yr You can enter GW or ZFW. If it has boxes you can enter it. But I think your format (xxx.xxx) is wrong. Try xxx.x instead. I always enter xxx.xxx and it works.... Aaron -oOo-
