I'm trying to increase my FPS. I have been following FSXGenius videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/FSXGenius) on how to set up my ATI card and fsx.cfg file. Using the trike, I am now getting 20-30 fps in FDST KLAX and 40 fps in a default airport. Adding AS2012 in heavy cloud reduces FPS by 15-20 fps.

 

is this what I can expect? It seems quite low for a high-end system.

 

My system:

4770K @ 4.8GHz

16GB 1800MHz RAM

2x250GB Samsung 840 Pro in RAID

7970 GPU

Their are a few specs, that will hit your frame rates: airline traffic, autogen setting, water setting, car traffic, and cloud settings., have to tweak these settings.
