How to stop clouds flashing when turning your VC view?

Featured Replies

Yesterday I saw a solution to the clouds flashing problem, but I cannot now find the post again.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers, Richard

Hello!

This is what i do...

If i remember correctly

Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ShadersHLSL\misc\swarmcloud.fx

open it and locate:

bool   NewMaterialUsage = true;

change true; to false;

Hope it helps

cheers.

that's right, but you must re-build shaders after applying this.

- first step is to go to "ShadersHLSL\misc\swarmcloud.fx" and modify "bool NewMaterialUsage = true" to "false"

 - second step is to delete shaders folder from "C:\Users\"YourUserName"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX". FSX will rebuild them on next startup
