Community livery thread is down, But i had one request! (cries like a baby)

Featured Replies

So because some people were not able to keep to the rules of the AVSIM forum. they closed it. (I would have done the same, it can have some serious consequences)

Back to business, i had one request.

Is anybody able to make a KLM livery which is cleaner?

Because the liveries that are avaible by PMDG and third party are not even close to accurate when it comes to being dirty!!

Unless airlines now use all cabin exits as entries/exits for jetways. There is dirt around all doors though. (I know it is because they mirror the to sides).

But if someone would like to do it!!! That would be awesome!!!!

Thank you in advance!!

That has nothing to do with them being used frequently, or at all.  This happens based on precip.  Precip doesn't care which door you use, and it runs down the rails (metal pieces above the doors), and into the gap in the door sill.  This causes streaking and marking.

Yoo Thanks for the info.

The thing remains that it does not look nice.

+ It does not happen very often that all the doors are like that.

At least not on KLM

Right, but these doors are not used as boarding doors (#2 side is only used for service), and you can see the streaking is similar on the two doors.

Yes, you have a point.

If the PMDG livery would have looked like the pic that you posted, i would have jumped through the roof, it is opposed of my request but the dirty one would be really nice as well. but i mean nice and dirty like the one you showed. with it not being the same everywhere.

There is quite a difference, right?

Edit: Disregard.

There's a difference, yeah, but it still looks normal to me.

...and this is coming from someone who worked right next to the KLM gates are at IAD.

Don't forget that rainwater itself is dirty due to atmospheric contaminents.

Best regards,

Robin.
