October 12, 201312 yr Greetings When I load PMDG 800 the engines turn off and cannot be started again. This is rather odd, as I also use another flight model, which starts with engines on. Any ideas? Thanks, WilloW WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
October 12, 201312 yr Load the cessna first with engines running, then the 737-800 Have you saved a flight of the 737-800 with engines off ? Peter Schluter
October 12, 201312 yr Author Hi Peter I have tried this. Every aircraft starts with engines on; but once I switch to the PMDG the engines spool down and cannot be restated, WilloW WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
October 12, 201312 yr go to your FMC and select "default" under "pmdg set up" and then "state load " ZORAN
October 12, 201312 yr You have posted this in the FS9 Legacy forum, are you using FS9 or FSX ? Peter Schluter
October 12, 201312 yr Author I am using FSX, but with the FS9 PMDG flight model installed. As I said, I've been using another flight model with my set-up and went back to check something on the PMDG flight model - to find this engine will not start issue... I am not using the PMDG FMC or anything else from PMDG. All I am using is the FS9 800 series flight model. No, I have not posed elsewhere believing this forum was probably the best place to ask for help (first). I thought it maybe a simple and known issue.... It's odd as it worked 6 months ago but not now. I thought it may have been an "obvious and quick fix" (like the load Cessna first scenario). Thank you WilloW WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
October 12, 201312 yr Just thinking that there are different folders in FS9 but the PMDG NG is not compatible with FSX. Main reason why they released the NGX John Morris http://downloads.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/Boeing777_Banner_Pilot.jpg
October 12, 201312 yr Author Just thinking that there are different folders in FS9 but the PMDG NG is not compatible with FSX. Main reason why they released the NGX You are correct, however I am discussing the flight model only - not the complete PMDG set-up. There are many simmers with full flight decks (not desktop set ups) that are using FS9 PMDG as their flight model and FSX as the main platform. I believe my problem has something to do with the flight avionics I am using. This was updated a few months ago. Thank you for everyone who replied. I appreciate your effort and time in helping.
