Kyle I have an Asus system and dont seem to have that issue. But I will say that when I jump into Linux then back to Windows I have to reset the clock

777-300ER: Aircraft stops responding in mid flight (descent in my case...)
Now I will only make this point to compare two products and what I have experienced with the other product... Flight Factor (aka) Ramzzess 777 has an option in the menu to have Custom Failures / Real limits turned on or off. The custom failure option will cause the plane to freeze up just as you describe here like the pilot either froze or died during flight. It might not be the same thing but sure sounds alot like that is what is happening here Cheers

Replacing a GTX560ti by a GTX750ti; worth it?

Payware AC not working correctly
I followed the instructions sent to me by PMDG and now the only payware aircraft that seems to be working it the Captain Sim and Wilco birds. I have lost all functions in my PMDG, ifly, leveld, Quality Wings birds. A little background I purchased the MD11 yesterday and was seeing some issues with it. so I contacted support that told me to do the flight1 registry fix. now I am told that I have other issues with 'FSX.

So since I purchased this back a few months ago I have been putting some serious miles on her... either hauling PAX or Cargo... So I was just going back and forth from the sim to check some things out and the last time I noticed SMUDGES, yes you heard right on the ND, EICAS around the top just above the Engine readouts. From 1-10, How would you rate this Sim?
Well lets look at it like this. FSX or even P3D are 32 bit vs if you have a 64 bit OS you have the ability of a full 64 bit flight sim. Now before y'all crawl all over me let me say I have them all. FSX, FS9, P3D and XP10. FS9 runs great maxed out in 32 bit, in FSX I get good results with customized settings, P3D is about the same, and XP I get great results in 64 bit either in Windows or on Ubuntu 64 but there again it runs 64 bit maxed out. Now I also own a ton of pay ware stuff for all except P3D, be it scenery, AI aircraft, Aircraft from Capt Sim, PMDG, WilcoPub, Aerosoft, and a lot more that I might have forgot about. Then I also own two separate ATC programs for FSX and FS9 or P3D; VoxATC and Radar Contact. Then I also have the 777 and 787 all variants for XP10 and most of the scenery was freeware or offered as part of a deal by buying a payware piece. Weather I own both Active Sky and Real Environment. Now most of the stuff I have for FSX can be ported over to P3D or it can't because of EULA. I am not here to beat up on a particular sim but make a objective observance of all of them. FS9 I would give a solid 8, FSX a 6.5, P3D a 6 and XP a 8 if for nothing more than the availability of it being 64 bit along with it being an open source type program where writing plugins for it doesn't take a lot to do but something that helps work. I have all my scenery swapped over to XP with little effort. I have AI traffic that I have from a plugin that I can control. Weather from a plugin. Ground services from a plugin. So right now I am about 50/50 on XP and FSX but as I get more confidant with it I might loose interest in FSX. Ok so time to get off the soapbox. Just my .002 worth John

I can't fly this thing....It keep crashing...Tired of this !
Well I might not have 100's of hours in the beast but after getting over the learning curve of this AC I have been able to go from cold and dark state to flying in less than 20 mins. And what a learning curve I have had to go thru. Thought I never get her off the ground. Everyday I will usually do a 4-5 hr flight and while I am in the air I will pop open one of the manuals just to figure out something new. Now looking in volume 2 there are some neat features that I hope PMDG is incorporating in the 300LR/ER

Got this on the FMC this morning
So I was setting up a flight from ATL to MKJS using the following route that I built in FSC9 HYZMN NOFOR BRAVS WALET WALET OTK OCF DHP A509 URSUS UCA GONIS KIRAN KIRAN D333M LENAR And I went in to set the SID/STAR. Setting the SID was no problem but when I went to set the STAR that was when everything went to crap. First try the FMC locked up, FSX froze up and crashed. Second and third attempts attempt I entered the flight again then I get this PIN error on the FMC and then I loose all control of the FMC. NO inputs. The final attmept I entered everything again but this time I selected the arrival runway without selecting the STAR and everything is good. so could the STAR of MKJS be corrupt?

Runway assignment
Stupid question is the question never asked... So I am inbound to ATLANTA from CHARLOTTE and the center controller advises expect rwy 10. So I see a couple things wrong here... First I am not a general AC, I am a heavy T7 and on the approaching STAR from CLT should have been 8L or 9R for approach. So is there a way to modify to allow you to request a different rwy?

Can't get it to work
What was causing the atc not to work as well as crash FSXwas the three Microsoft voices that were on there. As soon as i would click on one of the voices and try and listen to them the app would crash. So now i have all of the voice sets set to VOX voice sets and everything is good.

Can't get it to work
So I installed according to the user manual, disabled traffic, and ATC in fsx... And everything I have tried to this point from flight plan creation to getting it up and running has failed. Either I gt voices or I don't on startup. If I go to views then instruments then voxatc click on enable it comes up with fatal error. If I load a flight plan from the home screen it fails to load. So I am scratching my head trying to figure it out

Derated climbs not working
Kyle this worked for me.... I know from what I have read in the manuals that the T7 loves to run heavy, but with lighter loads you have to derate the takeoff. So everything I have done works for me

I also had a problem with this since I am doing a test flight and my weights are so low. 40k of fuel and 60k for pax and cargo. I also went into the VNAV page and put 230/9000 in the second takeoff restriction field.

Autothrottle - What am I doing wrong?
been working to try and figure out what I am doing wrong as well. When setting up the CDU if the T/O page tells me that I need to have at flaps 5 lets say 163 I set on the MCP 168 (VREF + 5) but my problems is it refuses to set speed according to what I have entered. I Need to get this bird figured out. I dont have an trouble with the 737. 757 or even 767 and the Airbuses. this thing has me totally stumpted. If I turn on the LNAV / VNAV switches or enter a speed in the MCP it will hold it for a time but will still go over 250 kts below 10000. I have even entered the speed reduction in the flight computer

Anyone else hand flying this thing a lot?
I have been doing a ton of hand flying up to and below 10000 ft. Trying to get ready for my next step at the VA I fly with. On this one is the parkway visual approach 13L at JFK. I do really good up to the point of the last 100 feet. Not flaring on time. So I keep practicing this approach

PMDG 800 engines turned off when loaded into flight simulator ?
Just thinking that there are different folders in FS9 but the PMDG NG is not compatible with FSX. Main reason why they released the NGX

Fuel and payload question
I have done a search and guess I can't find it. Here is the problem... A couple of the VA's I fly for have their VAFS prescribed weights for certain aircraft. I would like to be able to go with the values that I have computed. Vs the three stock fuel and payload amounts derived in the FMC. Is there anyway to over ride the system thru a cfg file so I can enter my fuel and weights thru FSX? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
