October 19, 201312 yr I want to know if anyone is running a new system with an i7 4770k without oc and how the results are? Thank you Mike
October 24, 201312 yr I doubt you'll find many as the reason to purchase an unlocked CPU ('K') is to overclock. I just posted the results of a benchmark on my i7 4770K here in this forum. I'm only overclocked to 4.2GHz but the results indicated my system was 97% better than others. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! October 25, 201312 yr If you're not going to overclock, get the 4770 (non-K) or 4771. They're slightly cheaper and support some features not present in the 4770K: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1763282/beware-4770k-overclockable-version-4770.html Thanks to the very good IPC, a 4770 running at stock speeds is still an excellent CPU for flightsims, capable of matching an Ivy Bridge running in the low 4 GHz range. -
