2-D panel

Featured Replies

Hi

Can someone help me with a problem with my brand new downloaded pmdg 777. Problem is that i can't get any 2-D panel visible. When i switch from 3-D to 2-D panel, it's just the runway ahead i see (if i'm on the runway :-) ) Sorry for my english, hope you understood what i ment.

2D panel is not available in the 777 PMDG.

Most of the people who fly modern aircraft models only use the Virtual cockpit (3D)

Try the 3D. You will get used to and will like it.

There are lots of 2D popups (windows/gauges) available. They just don't show per default in the 2D cockpit (the 2D cockpit is "empty").

Just use the FSX menu bar and select 'views' to open up those windows.

2D windows ('popups') available are, for example:

- EFIS (with MCP - "autopilot" - and Display Select Panel)

- every MFD (glass cockpit gauges like PFD, ND and more)

- the radio panel (with COM1 and the TCAS controls, for example)

Just check from the FSX view system!

It's even easier to use the clickspots, which are all documented in the Introduction Manual and the Tutorial.

UPDATE: Sorry. I realize that could come across as rude. It wasn't meant to be. I'm just amazed that after all this time, and with all the information that's available, people still don't notice various things.

Tore is new to the T7 ... and he doesn't feel comfortable with the English language. Chances are that he would feel equally uncomfortable even with a search-before-post on an English-spoken forum.

And I'm still not sure yet, judging from the OP, whether Tore is looking for the complete 2D cockpit or "just" for the separate 2D popups ...

Yeah, I'm at work and haphazardly replied. By the time I realized it (a few hours later) I didn't have the option to edit my previous post.

Apologies all around.
