Really Strange Problem With Turbo Duke and MCP Combo II

Featured Replies

Instead of a steady reading of Barometric pressure The Combo flashes the Left and Right OIL TEMPS continuously. I can still set the altimeter but the instant I finish the flashing temps start again.

On the top line of the window there is a quick "info" flash then temps on the second line like shown below

           *info

Temp L xxC  Temp R yyC

I reloaded Linda, searched every button, switch, and dial but cannot find any script for this. Finally, I re-downloaded and replaced the B60T module in use (Both the same version). No change.

Then I loaded the FSX Default module and STILL have the temps flashing.

Assuming now that LINDA has nothing to do with the problem but hope someone can suggest a fix. That constant blinking info is very distracting.

Thanks

Neal,

You'd be better off at the VRi forum. Go to the "Ask Questions About VRi Hardware in here please" section, MCP combo 1/2. The moderator Andydigital is very knowledgeable about VRi products, and LINDA, and usually replies promptly.

As soon as the RealAir Duke Turbo loads the combo displays Oil temps on both engines in the Barometer window.

It is a two-line entry and looks like:

       L Oil Temp R

        xx C     yy C

where xx and yy are the temps. After a few seconds the top line stops being displayed but the 2nd line reports the temps as a blinking light.

I can still set the barometer but once done the temps are back.

NOWHERE can I find any reference to this setting. I even removed the LINDA module for this plane and temps are still there.

As far as I can tell there is no command in any program that displays oil temps.

This only occurs in the Duke B60T

Any suggestions? That blinking light is awfully distracting, especially at night

\Regards

I currently have no Combo II to test it...

You have to be patient (a few weeks).

Please bump this again in a few weeks as I then have maybe forgotten it ;)

I apologize for the double post.

After  posting  this on the VRInsight Forum AndyDigital referred me back here.

In the confusion I submitted this problem again.

Old age does have its downsides :(

That's why I told you, to remind me again in a few weeks ... I'll forget it ;)

SOLVED!

I found it in the Linda actions.lua for the Duke. The first function entered. I didn't know how to change it so I just " --"  each line and no more oil temps :)
