AV software

Featured Replies

Not really sure where to put this but will try here

I've been playing around with my anti virus software ( I usually turn it off when loading  programs I trust ) however on doing this today my Av would not restart now I got it back by doing a system restore from this morning so nothing lost thankfully .

On checking my AV supplier, virginmedia it would seem that they are now wanting to charge for the av they supply in the future,by changing their av supplier from trend micro to F secure. They offer the first year for free  from F secure.

As I've never heard of them before wondered if anybody has any suggestions on free or very good paid av software that is not intrusive and does not slow fsx down when running in the background

Thanks

PC Magazine just did a review of AVs.  They did one for all AVs and one for free AVs.  Google should help you find the articles.

On my game machine I use MSE.  On my main machine I am currently using the Ad-Aware free version and the Malwarebytes Pro (paid).

It seems that PMDG was recommending MSE at one time, I don't know if that is still correct.
