Here you go, Daz. They are both correct now. Try them and get back to me. Neither would open using XMLNotePad. I did find an error in both - possibly inserted by a non-ascii test editor.

FSX now starts with both in place. I've put them on the Dropbox here, as this upload thing is a pita.

All the Best,

Thats all stable and i have applied the Nvidia settings which all appear ok now. thanks

I have noticed that my addons are missing which include the following

Ultimate Traffic 2

PMDG menus

FS Passengers

GEX

I presume this was when i got the errors on the files.

Do i just reinstall them now?

If those apps are still inside the sim, or you didn't uninstall them you can edit those same xml files - if you have backups of the original .xml files.

If so you can very carefully copy/paste the required entries into those new xml's. They're just pointers to the install folders - plus some fancy lines above and below... but those lines are super-important to get right - as you've found!

the exe.xml has to have this as the header:-

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>

<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">

...and then this entry, so that it can launch itself:-

<Descr>Launch</Descr>

          <Filename>exe.xml</Filename>

          <Disabled>False</Disabled>

          <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>

..and here's how each app will look - this one being the EZCA loader:-

<Descr>Launch</Descr>

          <Launch.Addon>

          <Name>EZdok camera addon</Name>

          <Disabled>True</Disabled>

          <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\EZCA\EZCA.exe</Path>

</Launch.Addon>

...and then this to end the file:-

</SimBase.Document>

The dll.xml is almost identical, except that each Path points to a .dll file.

If you don't have backups of those two - then I would suggest an uninstall of each of those applications, and then re-install each, with a reboot between each install. Take a peep (with NotePad) at the two files as you do the installs.

All the Best,

pj

You need to read the AVSIM CTD Guide (see pinned topic in the CTD Forum).  You are running out of VAS and there are several solutions for fixing this problem in the guide.
