November 3, 201312 yr Hey everyone, My name is LPDAL and I am having a major problem with all of my Saitek Pro Flight Panels. My setup: -Lenovo K330-Core i7 2600 Ivy Bridge, Nvidia GT 545 1.5GB, 16GB DDR3 RAM -2x Pro Flight Yoke -2x Pro Flight Throttles -2x Pro Flight Rudder Pedals -2x Pro Flight Instrument Panels -Pro Flight Multipanel -Pro Flight Radio Panel -Pro Flight BIP Panel -Pro Flight Switch Panel. Before I added the BIP and instrument panels, the multipanel, radio panel, and switch panel all worked. Now the only panel that works are the two instrument panels. I tried installing the driver CDs and even the drivers on the saitek website to no avail. And I am not using a USB hub. If it helps, I know the Multipanel is receiving power from my PC because it is glowing red. And despite "installing the Saitek Smart Programming" multiple times, I can't find any such program on my computer. Any help would be greately appreciated. -Colby (LPDAL)
November 3, 201312 yr I doubt your PC's USB ports can supply enough current to keep a stable voltage to all those devices. You might try placing a powered hub or hubs between the USB port and the panels. November 3, 201312 yr Author I doubt your PC's USB ports can supply enough current to keep a stable voltage to all those devices. So I bought a power adapter for the second Saitek Yoke so I didn't have to buy a seperate hub. However, when I plug it in, the chrometer goes blank, but the power lights on the second set of rudder pedals and throttle quadrant still glow green? Here is an image of my setup: https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/1422523_730681670278570_1432618338_n.jpg The four panels in the middle are not starting up when FSX starts up, despite drivers being "installed." (Installed is in quotes because the driver EXE says 'setup will:-' and nothing else, worrying me if anything actually installed). What does Mode 2 on the right yoke and Mode 3 on the left yoke mean, by the way?
November 4, 201312 yr Author Can anyone suggest/link a TRIED AND TRUE powered USB hub that works with all Saitek panels? It must include a power adapter, thanks!
November 5, 201312 yr I'm looking for a good USB hub too, so I'll be interested in what others recommend. I would suggest though removing all the Saitek software for your panels. The ONLY Saitek software you should have is for the FIP's. For everything else, use SPAD! It works so much better. http://fstools.weebly.com/
November 5, 201312 yr Hello there. Just one question due you have installed this programe FSUIPC4 I have had some problem with my panels before but after installings this tool it works. http://secure.simmarket.com/pete-dowson-fsuipc4.phtml
December 12, 201312 yr to LPDAL.. I have all the components you have but only one throttle unit but I run a second monitor via USB.. I use a Belkin powered 7 usb hub plus 3 of the PC usb slots and it all copes well. As I recall I had no trouble getting the BIP to work but I had no FIPs at that time. If a powered hub doesnt fix it, when I connected the first FIP, I had lots of trouble getting the saitek panels to work. It seemed that windows7 and/or FSX decided not to like saitek and kept putting minus values against the saitek products in th e TRUSTED list in fsx.cfg file (Users / you /AppData/ roaming /microsoft /FSX ...) It took me about 2 mths of repeatedly manually changing these to positive values (+ equals trusted software and - equals not trusted) till one day either windows or FSX got the message and it all worked and has all stayed at "+" ever since. Check that you dont have the same issue.
