November 6, 201312 yr Quick video I made of a problem I'm having at Innsbruck with the RealAir Legacy (probably something embarrassing). I keep losing almost all power above 6200 ft ... bring it down to around 4500 feet and the power is back. It's not a mixture problem, adjusted for peak. Any ideas what's going on?
November 6, 201312 yr I had this issue a couple of weeks back. The MP kept dropping to the point where I was looking for a stretch of flattish ground. Hit 'h' for carb heat and that fixed it. I have no idea whether it should or not. Like you, alt air didn't help. Mike Mike Dryden

November 6, 201312 yr Hit 'h' for carb heat and that fixed it. I had Carb Heat on :( ... I disabled AccuFeel 2.09 just to make sure, but problem persisted. Has me stumped.
November 6, 201312 yr One of these will fix it: * Pull mixture lever further out * Use carb heat (this is an FSX bug that treats fuel injected engines as piston engines). * Raise outside temperature in FSX or go to areas without icing (weather addon?) The Legacy is not officially cleared for flight in icing conditions. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 6, 201312 yr * Use carb heat (this is an FSX bug that treats fuel injected engines as piston engines). Didnt think fuel injected engines need card heat, duuh, no carb. Run into the same thing several times with FI equipped engines.

Thanks Robert, will try these solutions out. Appreciate the response ... yes, was using FSGRW and it was ice conditions. Oh, just realized you said Carb Heat and not Pitot Heat.
November 7, 201312 yr And yep, Carb Heat fixed it ... so this is a known bug in FSX? Hi Rob Yes it is, but an easy one to overcome. I'm not on my FSX PC now, but have a look here for a solution: The carb heat bug for fuel injected engine fixed by payware aircrafts? Cheers. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
November 7, 201312 yr Yes it is, but an easy one to overcome I just mapped Carb Heat to one of my GoFlight module buttons ... it's a good work around and solved it. Here are the results, full power now: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/425473-innsbruck-to-zurich-hits-1-spot/
