November 9, 201312 yr Hi all I just saw on Windows Update that there's a new update for my NVIDIA drivers. Now, I don't really trust Windows Update with my drivers and stuff, so how should I install the new NVIDIA drivers from now on, since NVIDIA no longer lets you update from the NVIDIA Control Panel? (You used to be able to update straight from the NCP, but now, the idiots at NVIDIA removed this function and force you to download some "GeForce Experience" crap that I DO NOT want on my computer in order to update your drivers.) i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

November 9, 201312 yr I'm using the Nvidia GeForce Experience and let Nvidia update my video drivers. I don't let MS update my drivers. If you us Nvidia Inspector be sure to backup your FSX file before updating the driver. I'm using 331.65. Billy Bluestar I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam

November 10, 201312 yr Ok that's nice but I'm asking if there's a way to update without the GeForce Experience It's exactly as it's been for the past many years, except one doesn't need to be concerned about cleaning out old driver remnants. Just go to nvidia.com and download the latest WHQL or Beta driver and execute the file. You'll have the option of a 'clean install' which probably just removes previous driver settings so you have an official default initialization of the new driver. They are truly plug n play nowadays, no fuss no muss.
