November 11, 201312 yr Hi So I'm currently downloading the JS32 and urbanmaxx V2 (well that foreclose isn't working but we'll get it sorted out) anyway JComm this was helpful Wynthorpe wrote: Go here for OSM scenery, and also lot's of photo scenery (free!!! ) Go here for aditional great scenery stuff ( free!!! ) Go here for even more detailled sceneries and great aircraft ( free!!! ) Go here for a nice NOAA-based weather injector, for upper winds, temps, turbulence. It is not payware, so, don't expect the ultimate perfection ( yet ) ( free!!! ) Go here for some excellent free, and payware stuff that is about to make X-Plane's plausible skies even more plausible in the near future! Go x-plane.org for a huge repository of scenery and aircraft of all types for X-Plane Visit the developers blog: here I just can't install the weather injector, I can't get python installed correctly, can someone help? Also is the SkyMAXX freeware the best till the payware comes out? Thanks Lee Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
November 11, 201312 yr Regarding Python, and assuming you're on 64 bit OS: 1) Download PythonInterface.zip v2.73.05 from here: http://www.xpluginsdk.org/python_interface_latest_downloads.htm 2) Download the Python 2.7 windows installer for 64 bit from here: http://www.python.org/download/ and grab this one --> http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.6/python-2.7.6.amd64.msi 3) Download the NOAA Python scripts from here: https://github.com/joanpc/XplaneNoaaWeather/archive/master.zip on this page http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather 4) Install Python. I usually reboot after it... 5) Unzip the ZIP you downloaded on setp 1) to your Resources\plugins folder 6) Unzip the ZIP you downloaded on step 3) into a temporary folder. You'll get a folder named something like "XplaneNoaaWeather-master", and inside of it one folder and two script files. Create a new folder under Resources\plugins name PythonScripts, and drop the contents of the "XplaneNoaaWeather-master" inside it. The folders will look like: \resources\plugins\PythonScripts with a folder and two script files inside, named "nooaWeatherResources", "EasyDref.py" and "PI_noaaWeather.py" \resources\plugins\PythonInterface You're now good to go. In your plugins menu inside of X-Plane 10 you will have two additional entries named Python Interface and XP NOAA Weather. Click on the 2nd to get into the NOAA fetcher configuration and to set what you want.
