  1. I'm courious what was the purpose behind your question? That should help clear things up.....
  2. It is nice to see a honest and positive post every now and again..... Many people are very happy with XPX, but so few take the time to talk about it.... Human nature I guess, we only tend to speak out when we perceive a problem....
  3. Yes the clouds SkyMAXX use are 3d, with V2 billboards were implemented so we could give the clouds more detail......Its a hybrid system. Because of how the eye point is in X-plane, under extreme circumstances and drastic viewpoint changes the clouds will rotate....... We adjusted this so the point at which this happens is overhead
  4. Or slow them down, there is a slider....we tried to make smp very scalable and customizable.....
  5. At night in the summer-- crickets, maybe an occasional owl hoot......winter-- howling wind..... I'm trying to remember if the coyotes made the final cut.....
  6. Very nice!
  7. Hey Mitch try landing in the bush and changing the date and time of day.....we included different sound sets for day/ night & summer spring/ autumn winter..... Just saying....lol
  8. bruced39 Im wondering if you have the Airport SFX clicked off by some chance? If it is off, the sound engine will default to the ambient countryside sounds......
  9. Just volume Mitch, we did EQ sounds for as much realism within the realm of X-plane. While engines are running only some sounds will be heard ....... We could of added gain so the ambient sounds penetrated more into the cabin but this sounded a bit unrealistic when we gave it a go......
  10. Killing me Mitch!!! Man I haven't touched a GPS in years...lol To busy "painting" nowadays
  11. Thanks Mitch I'm really happy to see you are fully enjoying it..... Yes the 172 upgrade is one of my favorites
  12. It can be fixed actually......by editing the high altitude skycolor set......hmmmm Maybe something I'll include in v3
  13. Yes you heard a gull....lol Let me play tonight so I can give an accurate description of the sounds you will hear under different conditions....
  14. To be clear it's MAC and Windows no Linux support..... Not going to post a link out of respect for AVSIM.... That link you provided is a development environment for aircraft sounds only, SM provides much more.....
  15. Rattles squeaks and other ambient sounds will be intact You have two parts to soundmaxx one is a complete overhaul of the default, which was modified to add more depth.... Part two is the addition of more sound, the ambient layer which works in conjunction with defaults and 3rd party sound engines..... Additionally some third party developers still use some default sounds, if they do part one applies where defaults are implemented..... We love what third parties have done with aircraft sounds and developed SM to work seamlessly....
  16. Awesome! Thanks for the support guys, here is to another layer of immersion!! Drinks on me....
