Is there a good replacement for the default FS9 Cessna 208 Caravan (freeware or payware)?Andreas

What's wrong with the Caravan? R-

I believe that aeroworks (sp?)-whoever did the King Air B200- is producing a Caravan that is payware. I don't know if it will be out anytime soon, but I'm sure that you'll like it when it's done.best

The default one is OK but like most default aircraft the VC is rather crude and the flight model isn't very good. I say most because some aircraft, the CoF ones in particular are almost payware-quality.

Even though it's a twin, I would suggest the Aero Commander by Milton Shupe available here at avsim for free! If you're looking for an aircraft designed for all sort of conditions and also cargo hauling, then the AC may be what you want as a relpacement for the Caravan. I think the VC and flight model are great for this freeware.Mike

For the flight model there was a free airfile update for the fs2002 208 available from the realair simulations website. Don't know if it's still there (hopefully it is) but it helped me quite a lot when I was going through a serious 'flying the cessna 208b' phase!Hope this helpsP

Aeroworx are the guys, don't know when they will have it done, but their B200 is just fantastic. __Josh
