MCE not working to make any physical changes to aircraft

Featured Replies

My MCE does not change any numbers, flaps, gear, etc ... nothing physical works. Any ideas?

I have reloaded MCE several times - currently have 2.5.72. Voice works - co-pilot talks to me and responds to my commands, but he doesn't physically do anything. This applies to all aircraft.

Help!

Hi Gus, after installing and before running MCE for the first time, did you run the AppWizard?? MCE runs outside the FSX process but it needs to communicate with it.

Upon installation it will put a small file called fsinsider.dll and you have to accept it as trusted when fsx asks if it is ok to use it. You also need to run appwizard so all the files for the aircraft settings can be loaded.

In addition to what Will mentioned above.

Make sure fsx.exe is set to run as administrator.

If you want to keep Windows UAC enabled, you'll need to install MCE to default \Program Files...\ folder.

You may as well update to 2.5.7.8
