November 21, 201312 yr When I spawn my Airbus to a ramp at my airport, it is parked much too close to the terminal and the jetway is unable to maneuver into the forward door. The rear landing gear is at the top of the gate's parking line, where I assume the nosewheel should be. Is there a way to go about tweaking things to ensure that the aircraft parks at the correct spot at the gate? RM Killins
November 21, 201312 yr You can purchase addon programs like AES and GSX Ground Services. These programs will allow you to configure your parking. November 21, 201312 yr Besides Jim's good recommendation, another option. The parking position for each gate at an airport is coded inside a computer file, along with other airport data. This data can be changed, and some people use programs to do so. What's cool is that most of those people publish those changes for all of us to use. Those are known as AFCAD files. Really a misnomer, but that's for another posting. What's important is that you could search here in avsim for an AFCAD for a particular airport. It is likely the parking position data in those files has been corrected. Hope this helps. dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
November 21, 201312 yr Yep, the far easiest and cheapest solution is to search for a freeware AFCAD file or upgraded airport scenery in the AVSIM library, or if not found there, check out some other freeware libraries. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
