Geforce 780 and Steve's FX Fixer

Featured Replies

Hello,

A confession - I have absolutely no idea what settings I should have in the antialising section of Steve's Fixer. I get great FPs 100-130 with PMDG's 777 but my scenery is crap. The night lighting s awful (too bright) and the general textures are horrid. I loved the ENB natural effect I got in Directx9 but can't replicate it in Directx10. Anyway, back to the settings in Steve's fixer. Any advice as to what they should be please?

Memory: 32GB

Haswell Intel

Gerforce GTX 780

2 x 460 SSD

2TB HDD

Thank you

Paul

I would suggest setting the AA in DX10Controller to 4x or 8xCSAA and try setting 4xSGAA in NVI  - is that the same as you had for DX9?

If that is ok in moderate clouds then you could try increasing to 8x in DX10Controller and 8 x SGAA in NVI

You may want to post in the DX10 forum as this is a DX10 AA question and you are more likely to get a useful answer from someone with the same video card.

There is  a thread here for instance

Here you go

Post 7 is an example of the nvi settings i would start with if using 8xcsaa in dx10controller

Note that if you issues with textures check texture max load setting is correct for the textures that you are using.

Hi guys just purchase the FX fixer yesterday I have I7 770K with Nvidia 780...I apply direct X everything to default settings in the fixer control panel and in the FSX settings I have trilinear with AA check ( I tried every other choices) ..However I have no idea what to do with Nvidia inspector settings. It is there anyone using GTX 780 that can post a screen shoot so I can start testing...so far is not looking horrible but the aircrafts lines are flickering..not like direct 9…I just need a guide line to nvidia inspector for GTX 780

Thanks

Pedro there is an option in the FSX weather options dialog to select Thermal Visualizations - I imagine that's what you are seeing
