November 25, 201312 yr Clause, take a look at this video -- CastAR will work wonders for cockpit builders. Wow! That is really cool! When I was 12 I built my first simulator with my best school friend: we were sitting inside a "punch and judy" theater looking through the "window", knobs and switches were made of wood and the sounds came from a cassette recorder; ventilator for prop sound, vacuum cleaner for jets... Now, 32 years later, I am sitting in front of my 27" 3D-screen, 3D-goggles and TrackIR. So everything is 3D but pure virtuality. Cockpit builing with the real tactile experience is something which exceeds my knowledge, time and monetary budget. But it really fascinates me. Between 1993 and 1998 I spent 6 hours in a real Lufthansa B737-300/500 simulator which was already then a great experience and a giant step back coming home to fs5... CastAR is revolutionary for window view simulation for cockpit builders, that is true. But Oculus Rift is IMO the appropriate choice for pure virtual simulation. Claus KUEPPER
