November 24, 201312 yr I just want to make sure I have this straight. The Professional Plus Version 2.0 of Prepar3d contains military training for weapons systems. But does in contain everything that is contained in the Professional Version of P3D Version 2.0. I don't intend to purchase the $2300.00 version but am considering the $20.00 per month license. This gives me the option of the Professional license, the military weapons training, and the ability to do developer work. With all three options I think it presents the best value. Anyone else considering this option? Tom Kellogg
November 24, 201312 yr The only thing it has over the other subscription version is the military stuff, and I don't think that alone makes up for the higher price it has when you can get (maybe even better) military aircraft's and weapons in other simulators. I'm going for the standard one
November 24, 201312 yr The Professional Plus Version 2.0 of Prepar3d contains military training for weapons systems. The P3D site says that the Plus version "has additional features for military training". Which does not have to mean you actually get a lot of planes with bombs and AI you can fight against...! Maybe it only means 3PD's can add things like that to it? Just a thought!
November 24, 201312 yr Moderator Jeroen, you get some 3d models and effects for a lot of different weapons, along with instructions on how to use them. Some assembly required, batteries not included. (the last is a joke, by the way). Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

November 24, 201312 yr BTW...does the developer license mean for commercial developers or does that apply to freeware developers as well? Can one develop freeware with student version of P3D? Hmmm... Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
