Still Can't Calibrate My Controller in Version 3.1 of Prepar3d
I finally have my throttle and rudder working. Apparently the version of FSUIPC I was downloading was the correct version however I could not access it as it said it wasn't registered. So I purchased a new license on Simmarket. When I downloaded the version off Simmarket I got the message a later version was already loaded on my computer. So I used the new registration key with the latest software version of FSUIPC that I located on Pete's website. I now have an operation version of FSUIPC. I was able to use FSUIPC to assign the throttle and rudder. Now I am finally flying. Yippee! I will now do all of my assignments of keys and axis as well as calibration through FSUIPC. It can appear very daunting at first but after a thorough reading of Pete's manual I can at least start assigning and flying. Such a shame that it took all this to get flying when older versions of P3D were a cinch to calibrate flight controls and get flying. Best of luck to anyone else having this problem. But if you are having problems with flight controls, FSUIPC is the way to go to get you up and flying.

Still Can't Calibrate My Controller in Version 3.1 of Prepar3d
Very frustrated here. Bought version 3.0 when it first came out but never flew it as I couldn't fly using my joystick. Elevator and ailerons were functioning but not my throttle or rudder control. Regrettfully I uninstalled version 3.0 and reinstalled version 2.5 along with all of my addons. I was excited to see this problem was to be addressed in version 3.1. So after downloading version 3.1 and doing a total reinstall of version 3.1 I still cannot calibrate my controller. There is a calibrate screen now but I am unable to assign my throttle or rudder axes. Is anyone else experiencing this problem. I have not seen anyone post about this issue on Avsim but have seen some people post on P3D forum about their controller problems. I have a Saitek Cyborg EVO Force which has worked flawlessly for years but not with Version 3.0 or 3.1 of Prepar3d. I have long been a supporter of Prepar3d and have had nothing but praise for the software. But lately I am becoming concerned about such a basic problem that exists in this developing software. If I need to purchase a new controller fine but it would be nice to know ahead of time if my controller is not compatible with the latest version of P3D. But apparently even people with newer controllers than mine are experiencing problems. I have downloaded the latest drivers from Saitek. I have windows 7 and a computer capable of running P3D and a lot of addons that runs with FPS in mid 30's. I would appreciate any help anyone can give to get me up and flying with version 3.1. Thanks.

What's going on with P3D
I don't appreciate the comment about my topic being pointless. I appreciate Robs reply about what LM plans to address in version 3.0 and a rough estimate of its release. For those who don't have any information no need to make derogatory statements just cause you're outside the loop. Rob would you mind directing me to LMs post about version 3.0. I had been following it but have been unable to find any information lately. Thanks again for those who responded positively.

What's going on with P3D
It seems to me that it's been rather quiet on the forums about upcoming updates or new versions for P3D. Just curious if Rob or anyone else knows what we can look forward to and any timeframes of what we have to look forward to in newer versions or updates.

P3D Version 2.5 and Orbx KPSP Palm Springs Stuttering
First off let me say I love ORBX Palm Spring airport. Beautiful job ORBX. But since installing my sim stutters about every 10-15 seconds with FPS dropping from 45-60 down to 9 FPS momentarily causing annoying stutters. It did not due this prior to installation of Palm Springs and does not do this when I remove Palm Springs from my scenery file. Anyone else experience this and if so have you discovered a solution to the problem with stuttering? Thanks.

Aerosoft support sucks
No I never got any response from aerosoft as to how to try and resolve this. They could have offered to allow a credit towards the cd in order to solve the problem and I would have paid the difference. I only asked for a refund when they wouldn't offer any support in trying to resolve my problem.

Aerosoft support sucks
Propane my reason for stating my background including my flight experience was not meant to pull rank but rather a response to the condescending response from those who have "been around the forum a long time." As if I was some kind of new kid on the block. I have been affiliated with aviation as a vocation as well as a hobby for over forty years. Not pulling rank, just trying to point out this ain't my first time at the rodeo.

Aerosoft support sucks
This was my first purchase with aerosoft. Blessedly I have not tried your download software as I have two different download software's that have worked flawlessly. I have no intention of ever buying anything else from aerosoft so I saw no reason to use a new download software. As to my choice of words in the topic I did so because I knew it would initiate a response. Probably a little more political correctness is justified butI was reacting to their lack of support

Aerosoft support sucks
Bert if you read my post I indicated thos in my second post. I am telling the whole story Actually the correct sequence is 1. Bought from aerosoft. 2. Complain to aerosoft. 3. After no response from aerosoft in 24 hours bought from GAS. 4. Request refund from aerosoft after no offer or response to my complaint. 5. Response indicating refund will not be made by aerosoft. 6. My last response to aerosoft complaining of lack of support 48 hours ago. No response from aerosoft. God bless you James. I know that I couldn't be the only one who has had these problems. I too have been surprised by the quick defense by upporters of aerosoft and the thoughts that the customer could be lying and they are justified in their actions. It is easy in this day of no face to face interaction between business and customers to dismiss complaints. This would never happen in the businesses I ran. One dissatisfied customer will tell 10 customers. And that kind of word of mouth can kill a retail establishment. Whether this problem happened once or a thousand times does not justify areosoft not even trying to resolve my problem. They basically are treating me as a liar because they believe I have downloaded the software many times. I have attempted many times. Just none successfully. If their system can track how many times I tried can it also show I never activated my software using the key they provided when I purchased it from them?

Aerosoft support sucks
Yes that is correct

Aerosoft support sucks
Scamp I purchased it from Aerosoft's site first and was unable to download from their site. So since I've purchased a lot of software from flightsim I purchased the software from them and downloaded from flightsim first time with no problems. Could easily prove this to aerosoft if they even inquired. After two days they have not even bothered to answer my second email trying to resolve this amicably. That's why I'm upset. Jell it's not tje 30 bucks that upsets me. It's their approach in dealing with my problem.

Aerosoft support sucks
I followed their direction and sent an email to support @Aerosoft's.com And I got upset when they wrote me off

Aerosoft support sucks
I am really amazed at the responses to this post. All astrology had to do is verify that I never activated my software with the key that provided. As to whether I am being honest or dishonest let me assure you I an not lying. Ask yourself how you would feel if you were in my shoes. I am no novice at this. I've spent thousands on my flight sim. Www.creativesimulations.com. I am a commercial licensed multi engine instrument rated pilot with over 2000 hours of PIC With over 1500 hours of turbine time. I've been using flight sim software before some of you were born. I've built two computers and am not some novice struggling to figure out how to download a file. So ask yourself how you would feel if the same thing happened to you. I think some of you might sing a different tune

Aerosoft support sucks
Hey guys. I finally got it resolved with no help from Aerosoft. My bank, Wells Fargo who does understand customer service fixed the problem. They credited my account with the funds. MAryann. Thanks for understanding. You seem to be the only one o here who understood my point and felt I may have had a legitimate point.

Aerosoft support sucks
Guys you are missing the point. If I purchase something and for whatever reason I can't or don't receive what I purchased then either provide an alternative to getting me the software or return my money. Keeping my money when I haven't received their product is wrong. Plain and simple

Aerosoft support sucks
Guys if I can download from flightsimstore it is not a problem in my end. I also did contact them at their support. They offered none.

Aerosoft support sucks
I tried two different browsers two different internet providers. Two different download managers. All with my firewalls down. I purchased the software from flightsimstore and downloaded first time with no problem. So obviously problem not on my end. With are soft never able to download over 50% of file. None of these problems excuse them from not even offering any solutions or offering to send me a cd to load. I just don't understand their position. I was in the restaurant business for 20 years. This is equivalent to charging a customer for their meal claiming they ate it even though they never got their meal. No excuse for this kind of service.

Aerosoft support sucks
I purchased Aerosoft's F 14 X and tried all weekend to download the software but was unsuccessful. I contacted them about my problem and asked for a refund due to the fact I could not download their software. They emailed me back and said I had downloaded the software many times therefore they are unable to refund my money. Then they had the nerve to ask for feedback if I was satisfied with my purchase. So to others, be forwarned. Granted it was only 30 bucks but in 10 years of playing with flight simulation I have never been treated this way. And I can assure you I will tell as many people as I can about my experience.

FTX Trees HD Released
I just downloaded and flew a little up in Vermont with plenty of tree cover. Keep in mind I only tested for a few minutes and only in the summer season. I don't know about VAS but I did see about a 10-15% increase in FPS. As for the trees I have to be honest, unless you are skimming the tree tops I am not sure you will really notice that much difference. For me the improvement in FPS alone makes it worth the price. The trees are just an added bonus. Unless you are comparing side by side shots of before and after I am not sure you will even remember what the old trees looked like compared to the new. We are getting so spoiled with all the new improvements in software unless you see dramatic improvements you hardly notice some of the less significant ones. This is just my opinion and only after a brief review. But I would buy it again.

Anyone try My Traffic 6 yet?
I am trying to install traffic optimizer with my traffic 6 in p3d. Unable to install optimizer without getting error message. Anyone have the optimizer working with my traffic 6? If so where did you find the latest version of traffic optimizer to download? Could you also give detailed steps as to how you got optimizer to install?

Unable to install UTX Ve3rsion 2.0 for P3D Version 2.5 P3D
I recently purchased UTX Version 2.0 for SA and am trying to install for Version 2.5 for P3D. It appears install works correctly however when I go to use setup tool it tells me that the following path is invalid; I/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3d Version a. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and how did you solve it? Thanks
