After all, this is a simulator, not some life-or-death, end of the world situation!Replies like your's really make me question why I even bother to read AVSIM anymore...Billsignature deliberately turned off for this post so it won't be misinterpreted by anyone as anything other than my personal observation.

Well they all lie, they tell us we're buying an airplane, but all we're buying is bits and bytes. I think it's a disgrace. :-hahFantastic piece of pedantry boys, keep it up. Perhaps we could have a war over the issue next? Randy, if this issue is so important, how come you don't raise it in the correct forum? And if it is so unimportant, how come you bother to raise it at all? It really makes no difference whether you get laughed at over there, or over here. Allcott

Randy did bring it up at our forum, and we gave our answer, and later locked the thread after we saw he had already brought up the subject over here. There are no plans for other engine types for the 727. She's flying and performing well just as she is. We believe we have delivered a realistic enough product, at a fair price, that will please the vast majority of our customers. Ultimately, we do this work knowing that we can never please everyone, and I am sorry if some of you are not pleased. However, keep in mind we had quite a few real 727 pilots on the team, and none of them ever had an issue with the engine type or performance of the aircraft.Right now our plan of action is to address any minor issues with the 727, release an update, then burn the CDs. I expect that this should be completed sometime in January.I am also quite sure that the 727 will be re-visited again by our team when the next version of FS is released, as we very much want the 727 to live right through that version. At that time, for example, high on my list, will be the addition of the gauges to the FE panel in the VC. This is a LOT of work, and cannot be accomplished now, as: A. The 727's programmer, Nick Jacobs, is already working our our new series of 737s, starting with the -200. Paul Golding also has to move on to his next project.I realize that there are those who would like to see Paul and team do nothing but keep working on the 727, but this is not a viable option, and I do believe they delivered a fine product, and a great value just as it is. My thanks to all of you for you kind words and support for the DF727. :-)Happy Holidays,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg

And with that this thread is now locked.
