Joystick issues

Featured Replies

Anyone else experiencing poor response from their joystick, particularly in taxing and take off roll out? after applying full power I have this nasty pull to the left and a full right stick in almost not enough... I did calibrate twice. Anything else?

you might try putting this under controls in the P3D.cfg file:

STICK_SENSITIVITY_MODE = 0

See if that helps.

The one annoying problem I've been having is P3D won't see or find my hardware on certain occasions (yoke, rudder pedals, trim). I'm stuck with the mouse and nothing else. I have to unplug the usb cables and sometimes even restart the sim.

That sounds more like the Windows 8.0/8.1 vs. FSX or P3D controller issue... it's not the simulator causing the headache, it's Win8 and Win8.1.

Check this thread for more info and such. You'll want to map your controllers via FSUIPC if the dropped joystick issue is a regular occurance for you.

Hi Kevin, what aircraft?

Is it only in single prop aircraft? If it is then you will need rudder input not stick input to counteract the forces during take off. If not then ignore this! :)
