A2A C172 - p3d v2 install How?

Featured Replies

Hi Jon,  I used the FS Estonia Migration Tool, and all was done automatically and it seems to work perfectly.   But assuming you don't own that tool, sorry I can't help with a manual install.   Hopefully someone will chime in soon whose done it manually.

Just asked that very questions in the A2A forums. We will see what they come back with.

Hi Dave - the tool doesn't work for me as it cannot find the prepar3d directory. Did I make a mistake when installing V2 as the directory is now call prepar3d v2?

I just installed all of my A2A birds into P3DV2 using this method I saw one one of the forums - sorry I don't remember which one so I can't give the proper credit.

1. Copy from FSX the FSX.exe and paste it into the P3D folder

2.Rename the FSX.exe in FSX to somethine like FSX.orig

3. When the A2A installer says it can't find a valid FSX installation, browse to where you have P3DV2 installed and click on it,say OK and then follow the

prompts.

4. When you're done, go back to your FSX installation and remove the  (.orig) or whatever you used on the FSX.exe

Hope it works as well for you as it did for me! (I left the FSX.exe file in P3DV2 as it does no harm and it will be there if I need it again.)

Mazo's method worked for me.
