How do you install an AFCAD?

Featured Replies

The responses I found online were not very helpful in the process of doing this correctly.

I know not to mess with the AFCADS from the add-on airports I have gotten but I am hoping to find some updated ones of airports that I will be flying to frequently.

Typically the AFCAD package you download will have a installation instructions in a "Readme.txt" file.  Most of the times, it's as simple as dropping the file(s) in the ...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery folder.  Good luck.

That's certainly what I do with all of mine and make sure that folder is set at highest priority in the scenery library.  Also ensure that you delete or rename any other afcad applying to the particular airport you are modifying.
