Being new to VC, is that person using some sort of third party add on to move around the Flight Deck?

 

I myself just have the CH Yoke Control Colum, would that be sufficient

Not sure about that vid, but for the VC you have options:

 

• FSX panning system (using the spacebar and the mouse)
• TrackIR (expensive, but intuitive)
• Use a fixed view of the VC (2D-like) and open the various popups to set knobs and switches which are not visible from your main view ("2D pretender")

There are also EZDOK or Opus view control systems which allow you to define new views and move easily around the VC. EZDOK can also be used in combination with TrackIR. They both also give dynamic head movement special effects if you want them.

 

The video looks to me as if it used EZDOK to control the camera view point.
