Hello,Just some info - I use the FSLIVE program. There is no subscription for this program. The subscription is only for the Live Flight Monitoring Software.I'm using this program along with the UT for Europe.Ron Sagel

Hello guysI'm a long time AirNav Systems products user. They are simply the best out there and are growing a lot specially on the professional market (as I presume they have about 90% of the home based flight tracking market with them already).Answering all your questions (and from what I know):1- You have two options when buying the software: Deluxe or Platinum.Deluxe costs $69.96 and is valid for 6 months without automatic renewal. Platinum is $54.95 each months and will automatically renew if you don't cancel it.Althought it may seem expensive, if you do the calculations, the Platinum costs just $9 per month. This a very low cost taking in account all the expense AirNav Systems has with their servers/bandwidth and real-time connections to the FAA radar servers. All the pricing details at:http://www.airnavsystems.com/anfs/orde.htmlThis Add-On is less expensive than their flagship product, "AirNav Live Flight Tracker" which also uses the same pricing scheme. This program is something never seen for Flight Simulator users since it brings real planes flying and no more "timetable based schedules".About aircraft included: you can find a list on the application Help file. Anyway I've copied/pasted it to the bottom of this post. You can also find a list on the product support page at:http://www.airnavsystems.com/anfs/support.htmlThe FS Addon has flight on North America or to/from North America. This included all flights from US and Canada to Europe, Asia, Hawaii, etc. So if the flight touches US or Candian airspace it will be there. For example if you start FS Live Traffic at 12 UTC you will lots of traffic in Heathrow bound to the US. That's why you see Frankfurt in the Screen Shots.About real-time updates of flying AI: after asking them they answered that unfortunately flight simulator does not allow their developers to do that. Anyway if in the future that happens I'm sure they will do it.Any questions email AirNav Systems support and you will receive a reply usually within 12 hours. All the best.

Just received this email....still too much $$$$ for me though.During this weekend AirNav Systems is offering a 50% discount on any of our subscription based products. This is the best opportunity for you to start watching real-time flights on your computer or to fly with real world traffic in Flight Simulator 2004.Subscribe AirNav Live Flight Tracker - Platinum for just $33 (50% off) and you can you start tracking real-time flights immediately using the latest version of the software. For Flight Simulator 2004 users take this opportunity to subscribe FS Live Traffic, which enables you to fly with real world trafficSubscribe FS Live Traffic - Platinum for just $27.5 (50% off)Important: use Coupon Code PAYHALF2 to obtain the discount.

I had it and then removed it. Indeed it's a bit expensive, but that was not my decision maker. I was flying out of KSFO and my framerates dropped to a shutter for the first time. I've got a really beefy computer with no excuse for 7 frames / sec. Also, their traffic is on a delay. We noticed a flight came in almost 30 minutes later than what the American Airlines website said. Looking out my window at the planes on approach to KMCO, there's no real comparison. There is another add-on coming very soon by a smaller company that says there will be realtime in flight updates. The problem with the Airnav is that you have to exit flight simulator, run an update and then open flight sim again to get the upates. What if you've been flying for a few hours cross country?

Eric,The drop in FPS could be due to the increase in traffic, not necessarily due to FS Live. The inefficiencies reside with FS 2004 and its abilities to handle traffic volume. Also the size / complexity of the AI Planes themselves have an impact as well. So it is not an issue with Air Nav FS Live, but the other aspects of FS 2004 and AI handling. FS Live just creates the traffic BGL based on schedules, and it drops off at that point. Similiar to Ultimate Traffic Utility. Same thing!Hope this clarifies...Barry

I think FSlive takes into account not only planes in the air but also scheduled flights from airports, but this is not something airnav did a good job on explaining how it really works.I bought the program and i must say it is very userfreindly, it also should be for the price they are asking.Still it have some annoying bugs like planes cruising around at FL800, and the bizjets and some of the ga planes just looks awfull, very bad work. And calling it live traffic is false advertising in my mind.Anyway i still use it, and it is fun to see a Bizjet in FS9 you just seen an hour ago at your local airport.OHN

>I posted to try and find a "traffic file" display program like>the old TRAFFIC BOARD (does not work with FS2004) but got no>response. If I could find such a program, I would be able to>report better on the contents of the traffic file. I do see>some data on European flights but don't know how to "decode">all of the info on the data lines that I xlated with TTOOLS.Here's a Traffic Board that works with FS9 from Most Realistic AI. Hope this helps.http://www.mostrealisticai.com/download.php?file=509Cheers.

Barry,Yes, I agree, it's not necessarily AirNav's fault for the drop in framerates, but how poorly Flight Simulator 2004 handles hardware allocation.However.. there is a bunch of "Enhanced Airports" that are installed by this addon that I was referring to, for example: KSFO which is where I experienced the most troubles.I hope that AirNav can continue to enhance their product because it has great potential and hopefully will enhance the way we fly.For now, I'm just using GA Traffic which is a sweet add-on for generating general aviaition traffic and adds some life to my Simulation experience - for free.

Hi.I wanted to match real-time traffic with real-time ATC audio feed. Here's what I found out.The FS Live Traffic is $54 (or whatever) every six months. It's a subscription. The Flight Tracker 6 is also for a six month subscription. They are running a special if you buy both of them. FAA and Homeland Security require a minimum 5 minute delay of real time audio and radar image. So, to the general public, we get "real-time", but with a delay. I think there is true real-time software, but you must be registered with the FAA, etc., and it's very expensive, at least several thousand dollars. These guys, www.sky-routes.com, announced a program that will take the real-time traffic info(delayed, of course) and then use it to generate air traffic display in FS9, using the correct airplanes in their correct liveries. It's not "AI" traffic. As with FS LIve traffic, it's "real" traffic. That means, theoretically, that if Sky Routes software and the airport's ATC feed were both on the same delay, or if you could somehow synchronize them, that you could listen to the live ATC from some airport that provides that, and then watch the planes take off and land and move around the ground just like being at the airport! Probably, better than being at the airport.Unfortunately, Sky Routes will not even announce a release date, so that doesn't sound too good. They have a forum at their site that discusses some of these issues. My current stance is to wait for Sky Routes to release, but then adding AI traffic is not really what I'm after, it's plane watching at the airport with the ATC audio. If you're looking for something new, try VoxATC (voxatc.com) It's voice recognition ATC. Now, it's $56, which ain't cheap, but the level of realism introduced by having to tune the radios and talk the ATC talk is outstanding. There's a good demo to see if you like it.Hope this helps,keith2W6
