After the DX10 fixer installation the DX10 Controller requires the FSX path setup (tool pos. 1) definition.

Is it possible that the DX10 Controller will automatically find the right FSX path?

On my PC  the FSX path is located  in a subfolder in D:\ , so I have to browse it manually

which is not a problem at all. It is only a tip for a further improvement.

It looks in the registry already. I will lookup the key that is uses for you so you can check your registry. If there is a problem then I think that flight one have a registry repair tool

As promised - it looks in the following registry location:

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10

 

And it looks for the value associated with

If your copy of FSX is on your D:\ drive, the registry entry isn't correct and should be amended to D:\ from E:\

the correct subfolder for my FSX is E:\ as shown above. 

On the top (1st mail) I have mentioned the wrong drive, meant was E:\. Sorry.

Is that the 32bit or 64bit registry?

 

Follow the instructions here to run the 32 bit version

Check for spaces on the path as well.

 

Paul initially had problems not finding the registry entry but it sorted itself eventually.

Unfortunately I am not computer expert and I am a little bit overstrained to go into the deeps of the registry.

So I am happy with the current situation, which is easy managable.
