December 2, 201312 yr I need to run sparse grid supersampling otherwise the game looks like a wavy mess. But when I do, the framerates drop with a lot of cloud cover. I have the lowest resolution clouds, but is there a way to get SGSS to not run on cloud textures, or any other trick to not getting such a big framerate loss?
December 5, 201312 yr Author I have never seen clouds shimmer, even when using multisampling. Yet I need sparse grid ss or else all the ground, and buildings shimmer like no tomorrow. Plus the water too. But the clouds stay the same as multisampling, no shimmering.
December 5, 201312 yr What SGSS are you using, 2x, 4x? What are your system specs? Way too much info missing here.
